Can my blu ray player be hooked up to my all in one desktop?

I recently bought an acer all in one desktop that I plan on using for a bedroom TV. I want to hook up my "smart" blu ray and stream netflix and other apps. I do realize I could simply use the pc to do that, but I want the added ability to use the remote control to brows movies, pause, etc. and this model acer does not have a remote. It does, however have a TV tuner. t also has HDMI port, and av jacks, as does the blu ray. I am guessing those connections are input as well as output? Don't gamers connect PlayStation and Xbox to computers? I don't care for video games, and have not played one since Pong! lol. I do not want to attempt to figure out all the tech stuff if it simply is not possible, or if some sort of additional equipment is necessary. Any advice?

I was afraid of that, but dn't know if there was a common solution for the issue. I like the idea of cutting down on electronics, seems rediculus that I need two powerstrips. Sold the bedroom tv as the screen on this al in one desktop is plenty large enough, and wa gonna sell the blu ray too, till I discovered this model pc does not have a remote. Is there maybe a way to add a remote to my pc? A plug and play sensor possibly? Or a install sensor in one of the pci slots inside? The setup I have is doable, but I am sorry to lose the format the blu ray apps have. Much more user friendly. thank you for your very helpful input, The Baglady

You know I see that answer bieng thrown around that the connections on a computer are out only. I am searching for the same fix to connecting my blu ray player to computer but do not have a HDMI input on computer. If they make it if anyone knows what about a HDMI to USB. The USB is in or out or I would not be able to play movies from my external DVD player. I know they make the adapters and sell them at Wallmart. Now would you not be just using your computer screen as the T.V?
