Issue: Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN network adapter has a yellow warning symbol next to it in the device manager. I cannot connect to the internet wirelessly (must use a cable plugged into the router).

Some background: This is the girlfriend's laptop. She told me that one day her laptop was fine and was able to connect to the internet wirelessly and then the next day, she could no longer connect wirelessly. I've spent a lot of time on this. I have completely rid her computer of malware and reinstalled her network adapter's driver but still no dice. This forum post is my last step before taking the computer into the local fix-it place.

Basically, I'm out of ideas and if anyone has experienced this before or has any advice, I'm all ears. I already looked at a similar post to this but the solutions it suggested did not work for me.

System specs:
Manufacturer: ASUSTek
OS: W7 Home Premium 64-bit
Processor: Intel i3-2330M @ 2.20 ghz
Wireless adapter: Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless Lan 802.11n PCI-E NIC

Thanks in advance.

Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC #2

It's the wireless adapter I stated in my first post.

Sorry for the delayed response. It's been a very busy week. Do you have any suggestions?
