My PC restarts constantly

it restarts even in safe mode, even in the reinstallation of windows menu, even when nothing has loaded yet.
Sometimes it lets you use it for a hour, then restarts. After it restarts for the first time in the day, and you continuing using it, it restarts more frequently.
Sometimes it restarts just after the first 'beep' when you turn it on. So in a unlucky morning you can hear like 4 beeps in just a minute. That means to me that windows is not even loaded and because it restarts it can be hardware? Like my Hard Drive?

Im sick of it, 1 and a half week, so today I inserted a CD with windows to reinstall it, when I was in the language menu everything was fine, I clicked continue, started loading, and Bam, restarting again.
I entered the BIOS and I hit "optimized defaults" or something like that and saved changes. After that, it keeps restarting.

I remember having this problem a few months ago, it constantly restarted, but suddenly it stopped and I was able to use it and with no problems. I don't remember what I did to fix it, i think nothing because I dont
But like I've said, it's happening again!
Other thing, a few months ago I had the problem that the red light in the pc case was constantly on, like processing something heavy, even when i just started the pc. I had to "let her think whatever she wants, and when she was done, I could use it" ..yeah, right, but it worked. Like half hour later my pc was 'normal'.
Because of that, I downloaded HDD Regenarator and ran it. It showed that I had a problem, but I dont remember. After running HDD Ren I used the pc for like 2 more months with 'normal' functioning. 'Normal' because was a little bit slower than the Normal PC I remember i used a years ago.

As I write, my pc restarted like 15 minutes ago and is ok. I can see the desktop, but I'm not using it, but I know it's restarting in any moment (i'm writing in a mac)

I'm going to try to run HDD R. again, and see what happens.
Please help me.

PD: Sorry if my english is bad, maybe awful, i'm not a native english speaker.

okay, hmm i'm not overly sure what it could be, perhaps it may be that something in your hardware could slowly be dying haha, but make sure you select an answer so that the topic is solved okay buddy,

glad...

have you ran a disk checking program to see if there are any bad sectors?
i have had previous issues alot like this very one but it turned out my ram was configured wrong (in the wrong dimm slots) then i have had no issues whatsoever, though i'd definately run a disk check just in case

Thanks for responding.
I'm was going to run it, but first I'm doing a backup (music most of it).
When I finish, gonna use HDD Regenarator.
What is odd is that since I posted my thread, my pc is running on, no restarts, no problems. It's been an hour by now.
What can be?

And how do I know if something is configured wrong? Like my ram? I'll run HDD Regenarator, is ok? What do you recommend?
Thank you again

mainly i fixed mine through trial and error and eventually figured out the issue, though if you do manage to gain access to the computer long enough you can run a disk performance and analysis check via 'my computer' the right clicking on your hard drive and selecting properties and it should be under hardware (if i'm not mistaken that is)
but mostly the ram config is done through trial and error (also another guess of mine) but good luck and let me know how you get on okay? :)

Ok, thanks, i'll do it and tell you.
PD: what you were referring to was under Tools, not hardware.

I was having similar issues when my SSD was dieing, until it met its untimely death a few weeks ago. Then it wouldn't even start, would just Bluescreen even during safe boot and windows repair.

Hey nastycoco, first of all, thanks for the time and sorry for my delayed answer, i got some things to do.

all i have to say now is that , like before, it fixed by its own. Now is running like 3 days straight, everything ok, no more restarting. I ran the windows check for errors in C and D, and all ok. I then ran HDD Regenarator and nothing found, all ok.
It doesn't restart anymore, is great! :D

What could it be? Something unknown like the last time (months ago)? or the bios-reset i did...? we'll never know.
Thanks again.
