Laptop Screen Malfunction

This is what the screen looks like when I plug into a monitor, if I just power up the laptop then the screen is black and green with these lines. There are no cracks in the screen.

That is a bad GPU not a monitor problem, that it comes as well on external monitor confirms that.

just to make sure did you do anything to laptop recently? software/hardware upgrades? driver update? anything at all?

it is most likely your gpu failing as above but to be sure I ask them questions

Nothing knowingly, just automatic updates that happen on their own?

well you can go to your manufactures web site ,download and install the most recent driver but other then that I don't have any other ideas

You were right, unfortunately it's embedded into the motherboard and I would have to buy a new motherboard. But after talking to the manufacturer they said it was the GPU. I tried to do all the tricks and nothing worked so the laptop isn't worth the cost of the laptop so I scraped it all and sold all the parts. Thank you for your replay.
