Between the two (both are good mobos), I'd go the EX6, but might want to split the difference price wise and look at the Extreme 4, it's been the best selling and best rated Z77 for gamers and business users alike, great mobo, love mine (in sig)

Honestly, I am currently running ex6/tb4. But, I got some issues on updating the bios. I followed the instructions on how to update it's just turn black and nothing happens and go back to default. I haven't experience the fast boot etc. And not all features are compatible with win8.
So was thinking to replace my mobo

I ran Win8 for quite awhile on my EX4, from the earliest beta up through the release and never had any problems

my rig was fixed! there was no problem on the board so I will stick to ex6/tb4 for a while. I am running at 4.2 I'm scared to go higher.

Can always try when you have the time, don't jump in if you've only got an hour or so, and keep notes of what you set things to at each step
