I understand that the AMD fx 9370 is better but is it a huge performance boost that I should upgrade to it? And if so how much of a difference?

No. Get a FX 8320 and overclock it to 9370 levels

^This.
The 9370 is an overclocked 8350, which is an overclocked 8320. All are the same architecture, same cores, and same performance once overclocked.

There is no difference once you hit you thermal barrier. You need a beast cooler for the 9xxx series, which you can use on a cheaper 8320 and get similar if not identical performance.

No its not really a huge performance boost. Just get the FX 8350 or even the FX 8320. Also, another thing with the 9370, is that it is a really power hungry CPU and gets pretty hot. You know when they first released the 9XXX CPU (I forgot which one), they had a base price of $1000. That was ridiculous at the time when there was not that much improvement over the 8XXX CPU's

Don't forget to choose best answer :)

you need watercooling and a good psu to handle the heat and power requirements of the 9370 i believe. It's a poor excuse for a cpu, far better off with an intel i7.
