Im having some serious problem here :(
Im using evga GTX 780. A few days ago I updated the latest geforce driver. At first everything worked fine, then I got 2 crashes, 1st was when using google chrome, 2nd with 3ds max 2014, both times the screen got artifact dots and froze. Simple restart is fine, but after 2 times I could not get past the windows logo. It ran the animation and then the screen just went black.
So I went to safe mode, uninstall driver, restart and it worked fine again without nvidia driver. Then I tried installing older drivers 332, 331, 327 and I got some weird artifact on welcome screen (something like this picture: http://diaryofdennis.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/damaged570reboot2.jpg)
Uninstall nvidia driver and everything was fine again.
So I replaced the 780 with my old card msi gtx 470. This time windows start up fine. But shutdown or restart and it gave me the BSoD :(
Im really frustrated now, really need some help here. Thankyou for ur time guys

I am having this EXACT same issue. I use a GTX 470. Since I updated to their latest drivers, the exact same issues happen. I have changed BIOS settings, including voltage to my PCIe slots, tried every driver back to a year ago. Each time I try a new driver I make sure to use DriverFusion to remove any and all instance of the previous driver family. The Windows VGA driver boots fine, the Nvidia driver loads the the first animated splash screen, and it has little Matrix-esque lines occasionally, then when the animation for the splash stops, it garbles slightly and then doesn't boot.

Mind you, I've tried about 50 times different driver combinations and tests, sometimes it did load into Windows, but the driver never took. Still showed an...

I had a similar problem just now.

I have a GTX-780 and Windows 7 Professional.

I installed the new 334.89 driver and also did some Windows updates, then restarted. When my computer got to the Window's Icon on boot, it just BSOD on me. This happened for three consecutive restarts. I was getting scared and feared there was something wrong with my Windows installation from the Windows updates. Well on the fourth reboot it finally makes it past the Windows logo and I get a get an Nvidia error.

F-ing Nvidia and their crappy drivers. I have had nothing but trouble with them through the years.

I tried to open my Gforce Experience program only to receive another error. So I went to control panel/uninstall programs/Nvidia Display Drivers (Not the exact wording) and uninstalled the driver, rebooted with no trouble. Windows installs a default VGA driver and reboots with again no trouble. I then manually downloaded the previous stable release (332.21) that I had no issues with. I then manually installed,, and rebooted without issue.

Old Nvidia drivers can be found here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx

There was most likely an installation error and not a problem with the driver, but I'll be keeping 332.21 until the next unstable release arrives. I don't feel it is worth experimenting when I didn't have any trouble with 332.21. As a matter of fact 332.21 was the most stable driver I have had yet for my GTX-780.

Im glad u could fix that. My problem is much worse than this, I already tried reverting to 332.21 and even older versions. It got pass the windows start screen But I got some sort of weird color artifacts exactly like this Picture i found on google http://diaryofdennis.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/damaged570reboot2.jpg
My old gtx 470 is able to load to windows just fine but got BSoD on restart or shutdown :(
Worst case scenario is that the newest driver has caused some damage to my gtx 780 (is it even possible???)

Sure it is possible.

Did you just revert back to 332.21 or did you uninstall everything from Nvidia and reinstall?

Still showed an issue in Device Manager and had the same VGA resolution, etc. Before this update, my card was 100% fine. Memory tests for it show OK. Power tests show OK. Temperature tests show OK. The only thing that changed was the driver. And now, no driver works. Very frustrating, but I am at least glad I am not the only one. Hoping for some type of solution.
