Best Cpu Socket???

I'm starting to do research for building a computer but first i need to know where to start, that's were you come in. I need to know what is the best socket out there because i here all these names like FM2 or Am3 or blah, blah...etc. If you can provide me with a suggestion for a CPU socket, nothing else that would be really great. Thanks in advanced!

Mostly Rendering which i got ram set on, and playing minecraft and some league of legends
I want to be able to Render Cinema 4D, and After Effects Cs6, And of course Sony Vegas Pro. (budget $100 or around it)

Most Common Current Intel Socket is 1150
Most Common Current AMD socket is AM3+

As for your what Choice you make consider
Bang for Dollar AMD is Cheaper but runs hotter and uses more power
Intel is typically better as an all rounder Games, encoding, etc

AMD are slightly better for games because AMD crunch numbers better and that's what games are a bunch of code and stuff. so if i was deciding for which brand between AMD and Intel. i would prefer the AMD cpu over the intel and i have had experience with both. and also the frame rate would be better since the AMD chip would be crunching the numbers better.
