Both will give you good fps. At the moment, the 4670k is the faster CPU in gaming. This may change over time though due to the fx 8350 having 8 cores.

Both will give you good performance. Intel have better singlethreaded performance, it will run games that use 1 or 2 cores better than amd. Amd have a better multithreaded performance, it perfoms better in multitasking. Games are leaning towards multithreading because of the ps4 and xbox one use 8 cores amd apu. So amd will have a slight edge over the intel, and as paitjsu sadff said ubisoft published system requirements of their upcoming game "watch dogs" and they recommend an 8 cores processor or an i7.

In the end its your choice. Intel or amd, you will happy in either ways.
