I'm looking into purchasing a new desktop computer. I'm currently torn between http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229285 and http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8765222&CatId=332
I am planing to upgrade whichever one I get, but my biggest concern is should I take the FX-4300 and upgrade it down the road, or just take the a10-6800k and go from there with it

I game a lot, I'm currently upgrading from my Asus K75DE a10 4600m, so both of these are vast improvements

it depends on your gaming rig. If you are using a dedicated graphics card inside your pc then you will be no good with A10-6800K processor. A10 is better processor if you are looking for gaming with integrated graphics on cpu chip. For FX you need to have a decent gpu to run games.

For gaming A LOT, APU's are not recommended. if you plan to game, get the fx processor and put in a decent graphics card. However for general works and light gaming, APU will do just fine with its integrated graphics.
