Will G.Skill Ares RAM be compatible with my Asus Hero mobo?

Hello all,

I've just compiled my first build, however I just need to confirm whether I can run G.Skill Ares F3-1866C9D-8GAB (2 x 4GB) ram in my Asus Maximus VI Hero motherboard. The compatibility list Asus has is infuriating because I can't find any supported 1600 or 1866 low profile ram modules. I could probably run taller ram but I want to ensure that in the future I can fit 4 ram modules under my Phanteks PH-TC14PE cooler (the ones in question barely should cut in with only 1mm to clear).

If anyone is unsure, could someone point me in the direction of any other low profile ram at the same cost (my budget is extremely tight because I've splurged as much as I could in parts of the build that were of higher priority).

Thanks,
G_G

yes, it is compatible with your ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO motherboard. Check the compatibility here at G.Skill website in QVL tab and search for the motherboard your looking for:

You don't have nothing to be worried about.
Good luck :)
