More about lag games good specs compared play
  1. The GFX card Benchmarks World of Warcraft (2005) high: 96.1 fps ultra: 53.9 fps
    You should not be lagging
    Try Updating your drivers
  2. Well, as i said my drivers are up to date
  3. Hmmm Only possible Thing I can think of is The Benchmarks are Massively outdated It's probably something Im not thinking of Hopefully someone else can help Sorry
  4. PC System Requirements
OS: Windows XP / Windows Vista (with latest Service Packs)

    Processor:
Minimum: Intel Pentium 4 1.3 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 1500+
Recommended: Dual-core processor, such as the Intel Pentium D or AMD Athlon 64 X2

    Memory:
Minimum: 512 MB RAM (1GB for Vista users)
Recommended: 1 GB RAM (2 GB for Vista users)

    Video:
Minimum: 3D graphics processor with Hardware Transform and Lighting with 32 MB VRAM Such as an ATI Radeon 7200 or NVIDIA GeForce 2 class card or better
Recommended: 3D graphics processor with Vertex and Pixel Shader capability with 128 MB VRAM Such as an ATI Radeon X1600 or NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT class card or better

Sound: DirectX-compatible sound card or motherboard sound capability

The lag can either be caused by high latency (300ms+) or a low framerate (15 and below) .

To reduce your latency read this:
    1. Stop any downloads or videos running while playing WoW.
    2. Reduce the amount of programs running while playing WoW.
    3. Change your ISP.
    4. Edit the Registry:
    Start>Run>RegEdit
    Search for:
    "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\"
Search through the keys (should be folders with random numbers on it) and find out which one is your network connection, you will know because it will have your Local IP Address in it. (a guide to finding it is found at http://www.bobborst.com/tools/whatsmyip/)
When you've found it create a new REG_DWORD key called "TcpAckFrequency" and set the value to 1.
    Restart you computer.

To increase your Framerate read this:

    1. Switch all the graphic options down to low. This game be done in game by Options>Sound and Video
    2. Reduce the amount of Start up programs, Go to MSconfig (run>msconfig) and go to the tab startup and deselect any programs that aren't absolutely necessary. (If you don't know what it is I suggest not touching it.)
3 . Clear up RAM by running a program called CLEANUP (http://www.stevengould.org/index.php?Itemid=69&id=15&option=com_content&task=view) or following this guide: http://www.microsoft.com/atwork/getstarted/speed.mspx
  5. I dont know, change the power option to "high performance". Disable the aero theme if you're on Windows 7. I can't really help since your laptop shouldn't have trouble to run WoW. Maybe try low settings?

I have tried to run it on low settings, didnt really help, maybe some of the componets arent working properly?
  7. Mmh I would think that the 765M isn't engaged, and that you're running the game via the iGPU. But since you have installed the latest drivers, Optimus should engage the dGPU. Just to make sure, reinstall the latest drivers by checking the "clean installation" at prompt. Download GPU-Z once you finished the drivers install and see if you have your 765M showing.
    Just a guess.
  8. hmm i have tried to reinstall my drivers for the 2nd time now.. but it seems it helped this time around.. not lagging atm.

I was using an HD 7870 for a while and it took almost everything that I threw at it for only 180 dollars. I think you can get one for 170 now. But if you can go further than that, I'd say that the 290x is the best price/performance right now for 300 if you already have a good enough PSU for it. If not then you could get the gtx 970 for 320. If you're on a tight budget I'd recommend a 750ti at 140.
If it's even tighter then an r7 250x looks pretty fitting at 100. That's about the minimum for what you want to play. Although my friend managed to play BF4 on an HD 6450 somehow..
    But it was HORRIBLE.

    http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16814150705&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-Mobile&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-Mobile-_-pla-_-Desktop+Graphics+Cards-_-N82E16814150705&gclid=CKDR6OTh-MECFcHm7AodD38ACQ

This would work and it's somewhat future proofing. If battlefield 4 and the forest is all you're really playing that takes power, then a 7870 would be fine, I got perfect 60 fps in battlefield 4 at ultra with it.
  16. Wow is an old piece of mismatched programming. Ofcourse the performance is anything but optimal. Don't try to resolve something that cant be fixed.
