Hi there,
I've been spending some time doing some research into upgrades and builds but have become abit overwhelmed by the variations of some of the same GPU's and CPU's that I think I might choose from.
My build is quite old now, and I think its probably easier and better to just start fresh. See below for current spec.
Kingston 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz HyperX Memory Kit CL7 1.7V
Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 1TB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 32MB Cache
AMD Phenom II X4 840 Socket AM3 3.2GHz 2MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor
Asus M4A79XTD EVO Motherboard
Antec 300 Three Hundred Case
Antec TruePower New 650W Modular PSU
HIS HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 DVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Graphics Card
Samsung SH-S223 22x DVD±RW DL SATA Optical Drive
I want to mainly upgrade so that I can play any game I can throw at it on max settings and also need to be able to run multiple programs at once (zbrush, maya, photoshop etc).
I've been looking at i7s and Nvidia (primarily 4770k and gtx 760) mainly through recommendations but have started to become overwhelmed by the choice of variety in these.
I know these are quite high demands so realistically my budget should be quite high but for argument sake I'd rather not go over £700-800 but will happily budge if a worthwhile part presents itself (not to mention happily go lower ;D).
If there's anything I've missed then let me know. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
Cheers guys.
