after loud pop, computer wont start.

I built a computer about 2 years ago and the other night I was playing game and I smelled a burning smell and before I could react there was a loud pop and a flash. After finding out it was the power supply I changed it out and now I get no beep and no video. Thanks in advance.

The subject line seems to have been cut off. Please provide more details of the problem, and full specifications of your computer (especially the brand and model name/number of your psu, not just wattage)

I will have more info when i get home. I just had to put it up so I don't forget. I do have TA970xe mobo, thermaltake tr2 600w I believe. And yeah the title got cut off because I put the question in the wrong spot.

That certainly sounds like the PSU died.

However, in the process of dying, it could have taken out one or more other parts.

Yeah that I figured. I tried disconnecting everything and leaving the motherboard, PCU, and a stick of ram and then with no ram, and still got no beep.

If you've changed out the PSU with a known good one, that sounds like a dead motherboard, then.
