Hi,

I have gotten some really good answershere before so now I have a fairly simple question. My CPU core temps are around 30-35C at idle and not over 50C while playing games with the fan running at standard speeds, do I need to set the fan to turbo or full to increase the temps? Would it prolong the life of the CPU?

Regards

Edit:I fogot to mention that I am overlocking at 4.4GHz at the moment so I do not find that my chip runs hot, just wondering if it is ideal to have it run cooler.

I wouldn't mess with it, you're not going to reduce the lifetime of it unless you run it at 75c+ 24/7.

Those Temperatures are really good especially with the really nice overclock you have there. I am currently running my CPU at 4.6GHz and it stays at about 55C max after 24/7 use and I haven't experienced any problems over the last few months. Your temps are safe no worries, intel CPU's have a threshold of about 90C and you're no where near that so you should be perfectly fine :)

90c will drastically reduce the lifetime of your CPU, do not let it go over 75c.

That's great then, what voltage are you using if I may ask, I have considered higher overclokcs but I don't want to pump over 1.25V tops through my CPU.

You can go up to 1.45 safely if your temps are fine.

I disagree. Everything that I have read says that 1.300 v. is the max safe voltage for Haswell.

I've read a lot that says 1.5, personally I think that's a bit high, and of course lower is better, but 1.4-1.45 should be safe. If you can keep it under 1.3, that's good, though.

I'v also read that below 1.3 is the best. I am not planning to overclock higher at the moment but would be nice to try and push my chip further in the future just to try.
