Arma 3 low fps in single player

I just bought an EVGA GTX 770 and recently started playing Arma 3. I know Multiplayer has fps issues but from what i have read a lot of it is server side or that the game isn't optimized for multiplayer and that single player should still give you good fps.

I thought my system would be able to run single player at pretty high fps but its only running at 19-24fps that's about what I get in multiplayer which leads me to believe something is wrong on my end.

I have tried all the fps fixes and start Parameters but its seems no matter what I cant get above 24fps.

Any help would be appreciated thanks guys.

Well if you look at these benchmarks: http://www.techspot.com/review/712-arma-3-benchmarks/page5.html
The discrepancy between Intel and AMD CPU performance lessens as the clock speed gets higher.

Since entirely switching platforms is a large cash investment, you could try upgrading to a Vishera FX series processor. Vishera CPUs are still very capable for most games, and as you can see from the benchmarks, if you overclock quite a bit you can get very similar performance to what you'd get with an Intel CPU (When both are overclocked) without having to change the motherboard.

Your CPU is a bit weak. Because ARMA is so un-optimized for multiple cores, you really need an intel to get decent performance.

Still that seems a bit low. Try looking for benchmarks for your CPU.
