My computer started to not work 2days ago, it just randomly crashed when I was playing a game, it doesn't respond when I'm pressing the power button only when pressing the switch on it's back, and when turned on it only beeps once and shuts down but this only happens when I got a CPU in it, when I remove the cpu and turn the switch it just boots up without shutting down, I bought a i5 today but the problem is still there so not quite sure what's going on, might it be the motherboard, or am I missing something else?

That sounds more like a memory failure than a CPU failure. The single beep is usually a primary fault code from the PC's diagnostics. If you have multiple sticks of memory installed, can you try removing them and installing one at a time in the correct memory slot for single dimm installation?

Hi, sorry for the late reply.

I'm a bit confused on the CPU removal. So you replaced the CPU with a new one and the problem is still there?
If trying each stick of memory one at a time didn't help at all and the computer was running fine before, it could be a PSU problem, especially if the computer won't properly shut down. Is there another PSU you can try at all?
