GTX 770 WindForce 3x OC + fx8350 500w PSU?

I'm looking to upgrade to the 770 as the title states, I'm currently using a Corsair CX500M PSU and was wondering if a 500w PSU is cutting it too close for a 770 and an 8350?

600w is recommended for 770 and 8350 is also one of the most power hungry CPUs currently...
And this particular card is seriouzly OCed.
I'd upgrade the PSU or wait for 870 (or whatever it is called when it comes). Nvidia Maxwell seems very promising on the energy efficience front.

I'm currently rocking an OCed 7770 and it's starting to really show it's age so I don't think waiting on the 800 series will do. Will the a 600w psu give me enough wiggle room or should I just bite the bullet and go for a 700w?
  3. 600w Corsair will work with the default clock settings, but if you plan heavy overclocking I'd add 50-100w to have some "reserve".
  4. If you want real quality psu buy rosewill. In EU this is sold under superflower name. Then buy atleast gold one.

If you need more power look 650 or 750w.

    This is really good.

    Tachyon is platinum

    Bigger ones are sold too.

If you like cheap one. Then EVGA is good choice.

I will never buy another Rosewill product. I had a 500W Rosewill that burnt out in less than 3 months and was getting constant bad readings in HWmonitor, the swings in voltages were WAY out of the acceptable range.

PSUs are something I refuse to skimp on again, it was the first time I tried a cheap PSU and got burned (pun ftw).

    I appreciate the feedback however.

Yeah that's probably the route I will go, 700W it is.
