My 570 Classified just bit the dust, and it seems an RMA is very unlikely.

So, to get money, I'll have to sell my unusual in TF2 (I know, last resort for cash) to buy a new GPU. With £270 from that, I'll easily be able to buy something. The plan is either a 770, 780 or 870 Maxwell when they come out, which is a fair few months away, probably June/July by my estimate.

I only play on a single 1920x1080 monitor, but I play games on max settings with lots of AA, and I'd like it to last a few years, so GK110 would be good for future proofing, but a 770 is still quite good for 1080p.

What I'm mainly questioning is whether it's worth waiting for an 870 (or even 880 if cash allows) or to buy a GPU now. Playing on HD 4600 in 1366x768 is pretty painful....

if you are looking for bit of future proofing thing, get gtx 780. In some months, you would see gtx 770 won't be enough for the settings(Max with MSAA) you are currently asking for. Don't miss out the fun you can currently have by wait for next series to launch :D
