I have hibernate and hybrid sleep disabled in power settings however when I go to Start > Shutdown, Hibernate is still present as an option on the bottom. Its easy to hit it when I mean to hit sleep. (actually I use a shortcut to sleep but my wife does it constantly). Anyway, I don't ever want this computer to hibernate. How can I remove hibernate from shut down options so my wife doesn't accidentally hit it? My computer starts up from off as fast as from hibernate so there is really no point to it.

If possible, I prefer to stay away from using cmd prompt.

open an admin level command prompt (to do this, press your windows key, search for "cmd" without quotes, right click on it, and select "run as administrator"), enter "powercfg.exe -h off" without quotes and restart you computer. That will disable hibernation, which will remove it from the start menu as well as get rid of your hiberfil.sys file.

This is the only way I know of doing it, though I'm sure Google has your answer if you are adamant in not using cmd.
