Hi, I've just completed my first build. It comprises a Z87 Pro mobo , i7 4770k processor , 16 gb Corsair vengeance DDR3 , 750 psu and a Samsung 750 ssd .
I didn't include my gpu in the initial build as I thought it would be an easy thing to just add it once the system was up and running . I loaded Windows 7 (64) and connected to the internet with no problem , did all the windows updates and loaded the drivers from the Azus cd , still no problem. Then took the gpu from my old tower ( gtx 670) and plugged it in . The system just won't even start , it's so frustrating ! Take the card out it works fine , put it back in and it stops again ! I've checked the other PCI slots and it doesn't work in them either . Put the gpu back in the old tower and it works fine . Help !!

By not start, no fans spin or anything?

The power connectors are firmly seated into the 2 x 6-pin sockets on the gpu? 750 watts is enough for at least 2 of those cards.

If you have extra pci-e power cables, maybe give them a shot. Even try with the 6 pin to molex adapters that the card shipped with.

It never hurts to ensure you have the latest bios for that board.
