Hey guys, I'm planning on building a gaming CPU. This is what I got so far:
Maximus VI Hero
Intel Core i5-3570k
any Corsair 800w power supply
8G ram 4Gx2(no specific one chosen yet)
Seagate hardrive atleat 500G
HD 7750 graphics card
This is my first time building my own rig, so I would appreciate any inputs. I am also open to switching out any of the components(within the price range of the same component) to optimize the build.

Thank you.

Solution
The mainboard is too expensive and it wont give performance increase over other mainboards wit lover price like the ASROCk z87 pro4 or ASROCK extreme 3.
CPU i5 4670k.
RAM 2x4GB 1600MHz CL9 from Kingston,A-data,G.Skill,Corsair - get the cheapest one
PSU around 650w-750w for sli/crossfire from Corsair,XFX, Seasonic - the cheapest also
your old HD 7750
HDD Seagate Barracuda 1TB - the price should be 10-15% higher than the 500GB if the prices are not much different there

Do you have a case and cpu cooler for overclocking?
You could see how much such a system would cost in the local store.

The power supply is too much, 550w will be more than enough and save money and the PSU should be from XFX,Seasonic or Corsair. You could save on the mainboard and get one from ASRock Pro or Extreme with lower cost. RAM 1600MHz with CL11 is enough. GPU is not good, HD 7770, 7790, 7850,7870 would be better depenging how much you can pay. You live in Pakistan and can buy from Flipkart?

I see. 550w will be more than enough, however, I do intend to upgrade in the future component by component. Would it not be better to get a PSU ready for that?.... I chose the Maximus VI hero because it is the best one available where I live. I live in the philippines btw. I prefer buying local as I perceive buying online would be a problem in the event of defective parts. I currently have in possession the HD7750. It is an old card I use. My goal is pretty much getting the best motherboard and processor that I can afford for purposes of future upgrades. Il upgrade the GPU later on when money comes. Thank you for the help in optimizing my build.

Hello, thank you for the reply. I did not realize Maximus VI hero was incompatible with the processor I chose. Is the i5 4670(k) the best processor to choose for the maximus? ...or would you recommend going i7? The info is very much appreciated.

Hello, I am from the Philippines. I would say my budget would be around 30,000 pesos which roughly converts to about 600 US dollars(for cpu alone). I would really love a strong motherboard and processor for upgrading purposes in the future. I am pretty much stuck on the HD7750 as of the moment as it as an old card in my possession. But if you could give me a better build for that budget, I would consider it if I could find the parts locally. I am kinda worried of buying parts online as it may cause a lot of problems and delay in case i receive a defective part. The delivery system is not that great in my country. I appreciate the help. Thank you, sir.

i7 is more intended for office work with rendering, video edit and such things and does not help much with games but the price is very high. i5 4670 is the best you can go and if you want to overclock then you need the i5 4670k but also a good cpu cooler. 650w would be enough even for the strongest GPU and CPU for upgrade but if the price for 700+ is not much higher you could also get more but not too much, only if you plan to use 2 GPUs in sli/crossfire. You could play with the HD 7750 till you can upgrade it. Do you have a website where you can see what you can purchase?

I realized that im not really giving you guys alot of info to work with. I apologize for that. I tried to follow the format as best as I can. Hope it helps.

Approximate Purchase Date: Within the next two months due to budget constraints.

Budget Range: app 600 US dollars (30,000 pesos) will be buying locally if possible.

System Usage from Most to Least Important:, gaming, surfing the internet, watching movies)

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: entire CPU with the exception of my crappy graphics card(HD 7750) . May upgrade video card if within the reasonable budget and without sacrificing motherboard and processor performance/

Do you need to buy OS: TBH, im not necessarily sure. Do i need to buy new OS if i go for the Maximus?

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: I intend to buy locally. But for purposes of comparing prices, prices on newegg.com seem closest and will suffice for my benchmark.

Location: Zamboanga City, Philippines

Parts Preferences: any i5 intel would be my target processor, I do prefer AMD vid cards

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: i have 1366x769. Going 1600x? Would be nice.

Additional Comments: Currently playing dota2, COD ghosts, warframe and GW2...but my goal is to have a gaming cpu that may support new games without dropping below 40fps. Further, I would like to be able to leave room for it to be upgraded in the future. So that all i would need to do is change out a few parts and not get a new cpu entirely.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I can run most games out there. Just wanted to be able to run in max settings and not experience FPS drops.
Include a list of any parts you have already selected with descriptively labeled links for parts.

I wanted to build my rig around this motherboard with the best i5 processor that goes with it.

Thank you for your time.

Thank you for the reply, sir. Seems like il be definitely be going for i5 4670k. As for the website, they do have one. Unfortunately, they do not post all their prices online. They only email it to the specific person who asks. (crappy, i know) in any case, this is their website http://www.gaisano-interpace.com/

If you are building a gaming get i5 4670k it's the best gaming processor on the market and advantage from i7 would be 0,5%~1%, if you want PC for video editing then i7 would be better because of hyper-theading!
So get i5 and more powerful GPU!

Thank you. I am seriously considering the motherboards you gave me. Will check local stores for the availability of the same. As for the CPU case and cooler, not yet. I was thinking of going for cooler master. As for the cooler, no idea yet. Il need more research. Again, thank you.

You're welcome :) look for 212 EVO it's really great budget CPU cooler on the market!
