hi toms hardware, today i saw a custom low end gaming rig on craigslist, that had an NZXT source 210 case, amd a10 5800k, 4gb of amd performance ram (1600mhz) a 550w PSU, an MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 motherboard, and a wireless PCI adapter. He is asking $200. My question is, if i bought a higher end graphics card, such as the amd r9 270x, or maybe a nvidia gtx 760, would the performance of the a10 5800k bottleneck the graphics card? and i know that the iGPU will be disabled with that high end a card.

Solution
I actually don't even know about them lol I'm sure they'd be fine for lower range stuff, but the 270x and 760 can pull quite a bit of power. It may be worth it to upgrade the PSU and GPU if possible. I would hate to have you come back on here in a month with a completely blown system because of a bad PSU.

I have not heard of solid gear as a psu maker. I suspect it might not be very good.
See if you can't find a reputable review of it.

In general, one buys an apu to use the superior integrated graphics.

I suspect you might be underpowered from a cpu standpoint with a GTX760 class card.
But, the price is right for the case windows and other parts.
