I bought a new Seagate 3tb for 100 bucks onsale thougtht it was time to upgrade. Now when it boots it comes up as I Tb.Iam using it as a second hard drive. It comes up as 908 gb.So I cant find now the whole 3tb. It only shows one. Then i delete or wipe the drive. It still shows same 908gb.Then i go to the top and refresh or rescan and it shows the whole drive now all 3tbs.Then i try to format and iam using gpt thinking its going to work and then wamo bsod.Ive tried seagates diskwizard as well same thing pls help. And if i cant get it to find other 2tbs can i just use it with 908gb or will it cause problems Iam ready to throw in the towel and just use the 1gb part and leave the other 2gb untill I reinstll windows or something. And when it only shows 1tb or 908 gb i can format that and jive it a drive letter no bad just when i rescan it finds the whole volume the 3tb and then i format it crashes every time bsod.Pls help it will only format when it shows the fake drive volume. This is my first hd upgrade so iam newb at this I've only put in a new hard drive once and it was easy I thought.Wish i would of bought a couple Itb instead if i could of avoided all these headaches

Some more information would be nice...
Is this an internal or external drive? Which model#?
Which PC or motherbd do you have? many are not compatible with 3tb+ drives natively but there is often software available to get them to work properly.
