so i need a new card and i'm confused whether i should get the 780 or should i wait?
i'm running on a single 1080p screen
please help

Even with an overclocked GTX 780 I have to turn down AA in some titles so a 780 is certainly not overkill for 1920 x 1080. I don't know what you would be waiting for. The next gen high end cards don't have anything more than speculation about when they will be released. Maybe by the end of the year. If you want to play games before then the 780 is a great choice.
