I bought a brand new GPU, a Radeon r9 280x. I uninstalled all my old GPU drivers and installed the new GPU, fired up the PC and no picture on the monitor and could not get my mouse and keyboard to come on. its like they were not getting power. I had a 650W PSU installed at the time and decided to take it to my friends house and install the GPU in his computer. He had a 750W PSU and the card came right up on the monitor and all his components came right on. I know the GPU works so I decided to buy a new PSU, I bought a new 850W PSU installed it with the new card and still have the same issue. So I left the new PSU installed put my old GPU back into the PC and everything worked perfect. Shut the PC down on night and the next day when I powered it on it kept bringing me to this screen that wanted to repair a damaged component in my PC. so I left it on for 3 days and it never repaired anything. I then decided to buy a new Motherboard and today went to install the new GPU, PSU, and MOBO and I still cant get my mouse and keyboard to come on and I still get no picture on my monitor. I tried using the on board GPU and 1 stick of Ram to just be able to setup the BIOS and windows 7 and couldn't even get that far. I also have 2 brand new 4GB Gskill sniper DDR3 1866 sticks of Ram im using. Ive almost upgraded my whole PC and still having the same issue. I have an i5 Sandry bridge 2500 CPU that's 3 years old and is my next part to replace. Anything would help at this point so please leave some input ill get back with you ASAP.

My old PSU wasn't Modular so they all got taken out with the old one. I have used all the new PSU cables with all the new components and everything is getting power inside the tower, Only things that don't get power are the keyboard and mouse. The new GPU nor the onboard GPU on my new MOBO bring up a picture on my monitor.

My new MOBO came n the mail this afternoon so I installed it and now with the onboard GPU im still getting now picture to the monitor. I haven't even been able to set up the BIOS or anything on this new MOBO.

Recheck your wiring, especially the ones that connect from your case. Start with using your onboard video card. Make sure the cable on your monitor is properly connected. If it displays and you can get into the Bios change the settings I mentioned above and install the new card.

Also, Make sure both the 6 pin and 8 pin connector is connected to your new video card.

I just looked up the code its giving me on the ASROCK DR Dbug and its 00. Says my CPU or CMOS is the problem. Which is what I figured it was seeing as the CPU is the only thing I haven't replaced.

Im usually very careful when pulling pieces out of my PC so I don't believe I damaged it. The MOBO has a CMOS reset button on it and I tried that. Tomorrow im going to remove the CPU and check it all out. If its damaged or I just cant figure it out its either take it to a repair shop or buy a new CPU. Ive already bought everything else so might as well get an i7 lol!
