Hi guys! Hope you can help me...i have
AMD FX-4100 quad core processor
MSI motherboard model 760GM-P34(FX) (MS-7641)
8gb RAM ddr3
500 watt psu
nvidia ge force gt620

I wonder what graphic card up to $150 i can get to play Ghost recon future soldier or far cry 3 on normal settings. Thanks.

Personally I'd replace the junk PSU with a quality one. Junk PSUs are a liability. They are more likely to fail, and are also more likely to fail badly (think burning up, lots of nasty smoke, and possibility losing the rest of your computer components).

That being said, I know you are on a budget and the nvidia 750 and 750ti use very little power and I doubt such a modest additional load would specifically cause any problem. If you must keep the junk PSU then I'd lean toward the 750 or the 750ti. Here's a comparison of the two: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1130?vs=1131

You'd probably be fine with a R7 260x for around $120 or could spend some more for the newest nvidia chip and use the 750 ti 2gb for about $150.

Here's a nice 750 ti for $155: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487024
Here's the Tom's review of the 750 ti comparing to other cards: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-750-ti-review,3750-14.html

EDIT: Both recommendations assume you have a full-sized computer case and not a "slim" computer case. Slim would mean you'd need a half-height card. My recommendations are full-height cards so make sure they would fit in your computer case.

I checked...I have junk goldenfield PSU, model ATX-S500.
So, with your recommendations of graphic cards, you think im fine to go on with this
crappy PSU or should i get something better.
Thank you for your replies!
