I tried to plug a LED into the motherboard, and mistakenly put the LED connector to the CI connector on the motherboard. When I turned on my desktop, everything would start then stop for a instant, yet the lights on my keyboard remained on even tho the system was off. I unplugged the LED lights and tried to start my desktop on again put no power would go through (no lights, no nothing). I have tried resetting the CMOS multiple times (jumpers, removing the battery) but nothing has helped. I have no idea what I just did, and I have no idea how to fix it. Please help.
My system specs:
GIGABYTE 970A-D3P Motherboard AM3+
GIGABYTE WINDFORCE GTX 770 2GB
FX-8320 AMD 3.5GHZ CPU
EVGA SUPERNOVA MODULAR 750W PSU
NZXT PHANTOM 410
ADATA PREMIER PRO 64GB SSD
BARRACUDA 1TB 7200RPM HDD

Oh, the chassis intrustion pins. those don't provde any power and should only check to see if its even been opened by a bios settings. I would say more you knocked something loose. Check everything again. RAM and gpu being slightly loose being the prime category.

BTW, where did you get the idea to plug an LED onto the motherboard anyways? What were trying to do. Lights should be powered by the PSU through a molex plug or something.

It was a Fan LED, and since my case came with one LED fan that works (and is currently connected to the Mobo), i thought I had to do the same with the other LED fan. Turns out I was wrong. Also, I did refit everything, nothing works. I tested my PSU,.. and its good. I probably shorted my Mobo by accident (and hopefully, not my CPU as well). Thank you for the help tho!
