Looking for a gaming/overall pc build

I need a great pc build within a price range of $1000 and less.

i will not be gaming to the extreme point (Like playing Battlefield 4 in ultra quality 70 fps)

i will play small games like minecraft and maybe some other medium games like war thunder planetside 2.

so yes i would like this to be pointed towards gaming but not too much as i will be using this for browsing, homework, youtube, and other things.

I could be considered a newbie but i do have good knowledge of this stuff

So which would be better than i mean i am going to be gaming most of the time and i would like to keep this for a couple years then start upgrading. But the games will be like minecraft war thunder planetside 2 and such.

I managed to add an SSD, a GTX 770, and DVd burner. $1015. remove teh dvd to put it right at $1000

Forgot to say i also need an operating system the post above this one would be even more with the os...... Is the one i made ok? Or should i edit yours?

to afford the OS, you can do one of the the following:
a) drop the SSD and the Hyper 212
2) switch from the 770 to a 760
c) change to an AMD 8320 and 970 motherboard

any one of them will free up the ~$89 for a copy of Win 7 or Win 8 64 bit

Thank you all for the help but really i would have no use for a 770.......... im on a strict budget as in it would be better if it was less type of thing as in if i dont need it REALLY badly then i wont get it..........

do most pople here recommend builds based only on what seems nice and at good price in pcpartpicker? duh....

try to get 2b or higher. tier 3 is decent but not for gaming or oc and not that safe either with cheap capacitors. tier 4 and 5 must be avoided.
I would still go with gskill, patriot, crucial or corsair ram because of the oem quality.

yes that's a solid good psu.
but why h87 mainboard for unlocked k cpu?
go for z87 for oc possibility in future. z has also other advantages like faster sli,crossfire ram prehirtion ... and is meant for unlocked k cpus.
best at low price now:
asus z87 pro, asrock z87 extreme 4, asrock z87 fatality, msi z87-g45, z87 asus c2...

sure is your choice.
but with that motherboard you won't be able to get any decent overclock in the future given you have unlocked cpu (you could just oc instead of upgrade cpu after 2-3 years).
and sli and crossfire is completely out of question since it ain't supported on h87.
and more than 32gb ram on h87 mainboards will never be fully read if it even manages that (though 32gb is useless now lol).
given the h87 costs 88$ then why not go for asrock z87 extreme 3 which should be 15$ more only and really worth it.
just my suggestion but if games get heavier in the future the z mainboard will help to upgrade to a i7 4770k (if they will make use of multi - threading (unknown now)) and you could oc it to 4.5ghz and still keep it as a beast for another 2 years.
if you really have no intention to oc at all I would recommend i5 4570 on that mainboard because it costs like 40$ less and the difference of 0.2ghz between i5 4670 and i5 4570 can't be seen at all (if is 1 fps in games that will still be a miracle lol).
with that you could add a hyper 212 evo cpu cooler which really helps with temps compared to intel / amd crapooler.
