I've put my pc together completely, but when I try and turn it on, nothing happens. When I plug in the (24?) prong connector it turns on briefly then powers off, but I don't know what's wrong.
Specs: Corsair CX430W PSU, ASrock FM2A75 4+ Mobo, Gigabyte R7 260x GPU. I don't know i the other things play a role in the power, but if they do just let me know and I'll give them to ya. This is my first time trying to build a computer.

Make sure you have both motherboard power connections plugged in, the longer one that you mentioned, and the shorter one usually near the CPU.

Also, build it outside the case first on a cardboard box or wooden surface with no random metal in the way.

Always clear your hands of static by wearing a PC builder wrist band, or regularly touching the outside of the case to transfer your charge.

Post some pictures also! Pictures are worth many words.

It looks right, put it on cardboard or wood, no metal nearby.

Re seat everything.

Make sure RAM sticks are in the designated main DIMMs.

Connect your video cable, I suggest DVI on first boots, but, HDMI will work most times also, connect to display.

Make sure all the power management cables and front I/O's USB 3's and such are placed correctly for power and rest buttons to work.

Even after I tried breadboxing it, the fan will cpu fan will only come on for about 2 seconds then shut off. I didn't see a dr debug thing anywhere, the only code on the bottom left hand corner is BC5FF4E630C3.
