how should i fix my usb flash drive its a kingston DT101 G2 4GB when i insert it it will always says "you need to format disk

  1. Right click > Format > Choose NTFS/FAT32 > tick quick format > press Format (if quick format doesn't work try normal format even though its much slower)

    i must note that u need to copy any file on the flash drive to another place because formatting removes anything on the drive

  2. Because you did not properly stop the drive before removing it, you've toasted its FAT (the File Allocation Table that every drive has). Your files are still there, but they can't be read by "normal" software. unfortunately, you need to buy a new one.
