Hello, I am after getting a computer disk to load a file that I will put onto it immediatly without assistance. This means it will miss going through file paths to get a certainfile on the disk and it just to load.

i am assuming by disk, you mean CD disk. also assuming you are on some version of windows.

an easy way would be to create an icon for that file on the desktop/where ever and instruct the user to insert the CD, then double-click the icon.

I used to mess around with file types in Wndows explorer, but I've gotten old now and windows new.

Go to the file Click and Drag to Desktop ... create shortcut here
To have it auto load with windows move file into startup folder

Without further info this is the best I can offer

Is it a Floppy Disk ? - Batch script required
CD DRom ? - Autorun
Flash Disk ? - Autorun
USB HDD ? - Autorun
Dos / Windows / Other ?

Assuming Autorun

Note Win 7 & 8 Security prevents Autorun and ask question about running file due to security
