AMD Athlon II X4 760k idle at 55C under load at 70C+ normal?

So I just setup a new build with an MSI FM2-A55-E33 motherboard, AMD Athlon II X4 760k cpu, 4GB (2x2gb) of crucial 1333 ram, zotac gt 440 2gb gddr3, and a 500W Apevia PSU.

Unfortunately right now I can't afford to get an aftermarket heatsink for the CPU but I can't really tell if I need one due to the temperature readings I've been getting. So far these are the programs I have tried and the Min - Avg - Max CPU temps I have seen.

Speed Fan - N/A (Doesn't read CPU temps for this board for some reason)
HWMonitor - Min 58C Avg 65C Max 93C
AMD Overdrive - Min 31C Avg 58C Max 61C (although this program is odd I'll explain more in a second)
MSI Command Center - Min 38C Avg 40C Max 46C (I believe this is the correct temps I am getting)

As for what I meant by odd with AMD Overdrive is it shows idle around 61 to 63C when it starts to have a load put on the CPU it shows around 51 to 56C and when the CPU is really stressed it drops down and shows me 31 to 36C which to me seems like its really messed up in reading the temps.

So in conclusion after all the details are out, which program do you think is actually giving me the correct temps? Are these normal for the stock heatsink and thermal paste, and if I am not planning on overclocking (actually for some reason my multiplier is stuck at 35x but I'm going to check the BIOS in the morning to see if I can fix that back to 38x) do I need to get a aftermarket heatsink or will the stock be fine?

Solution
the reason why I would say Overdrive is that is AMD's software for the AMD CPU, it would be my first preference for temperature measuring. With what you just said, I aren't sure why It would say that.

Why would AMD Overdrive be showing me temps that are decreasing as the load on the CPU is increased then? I don't quite understand why it would show 60ish at idle but 30ish under full load on the cpu?

Im coming kinda late here, but AMD overdrive reads in thermal ceiling, thats why you see the number dropping down. For this chip in particular, its ceiling is 70c so you are idling around 7c and when you prime, you are at around 40c. my numbers match yours, and with overdrive and Speedfan running, speefan goes up to 40c, and amd overdrive "drops" to 30c. I hope that straightens things out.

I have the same processor and motherboard. I had the same T* also 60C* idle 70+ at max. I installed aftermarket heatsink and it didn't get better. Finally I understood that the computer case is the problem. This motherboard is small and my case is just enough big for it. I removed both walls and installed some nice fans with leds and now I'm running it bare and open and it looks actually nice and temps are 15C* lower.
