I am wanting to find a good graphics card for gaming that is relatively cheap (less than $50). My system specs are:
processor : core 2 duo E8400 3.0Ghz
motherboard: pheonix rom bios plus version 1.10 A11
ram: 2gb

Solution
A lot of people on this forum just recommend new system without realizing that not everybody has the budget for one. Also the person did not say what he wishes to play, he just asked for a card for 50$. I got an I7 and a GTX 650TI but the game I play the most is Heroes III which runs on a Pentium 2 450 MHz with any 2D VGA card with 4 MB of vRAM. Maybe he just wants to play old school games.

I'm no expert in the gaming area and I'm in the UK so I'm not particularly familiar with the value of USD. But I could suggest upgrading the RAM also to maybe 4GB. And being an Intel processor I'd suggest looking at the Nvida range of GPUs.

It would also be viable to state which games you are planning on playing.

Recommending a full system upgrade is the easiest thing you can say, but it does not really solve the problem.

I have played half the moba/mmos and a lot of steam titles on a GT 520 at 1920x1080 with low or low-med or high for the older titles. If a 50$ is not enough for you, it is enough for many.

It is just a suggestion for better gaming experience. I cannot recommend something that someone will repent in future. Putting a $50 card in that machine makes no sense to me unless you want to play old games like most wanted, modern warfare etc. Modern games like metro 2033, ac4 etc would not even run on low @768p.

And how is recommending a whole new pc spec is easy then recommending just the graphics card??
