I told my friend I have no clue where to start. I could build within his budget, I just need to make sure that I'm getting the best price/performance, and as I'm used to making gaming builds, this just wasn't my pace, or normal budget range.

Approximate Purchase Date: Today or tomorrow. 2/26 or 2/27

Budget Range: $350-400 Price is before rebates and shipping.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Youtube, Netflix, Hulu +, downloading and watching/listening to movies and music from iTunes.

Are you buying a monitor: No.

Parts to Upgrade: Fresh build.

Do you need to buy OS: No.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Any that ship to the US, CA.

Location: Roseville California, USA.

Parts Preferences: No brand preference.

Overclocking: If possible, just for fun, not needed.

SLI or Crossfire: No.

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080.

Additional Comments: Compact and small would be very nice, somewhat silent is another plus, don't have a color preference. Optical Blue Ray or DVD RW wanted, at least 4-6 USB ports.

Keyboard and mouse wanted.
Speakers not needed, but would be a plus.
Cheaper, nice headset would be a plus.
(If I think of more, it'll go here.)

This is what I would have wanted, but eh; Acer Revo

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Brand new PC to replace his old Dell D630 laptop, still used, but due for a new desktop build.

Cool, I was thinking along the lines of APU. Good to know that if I had to make something like this I wouldn't be biased like I used to be. Should I go FM2+?

Open to all other builds still!
