I had no idea about ram frequencies and timing but after reading some articles, I have difficulty choosing out of these 2
1600mhz Cas 9
1866mhz cas 10
And is, 8G good enough for gaming?

In this case, go for 1866mhz Cas 10
For every +1 to frequency, do a +1 to Cas timings and that will give you a slight boost.

8GB would be alright if you are gaming and not too hardcore
