Nothing too fancy, but solid and sturdy for the school. So, you can imagine, that's a lot of teachers, and tons of exams and tests. The only requirement is that is can handle large amount of prints and that it ie easy-to-use, because (you wouldn't believe, but it's true) not everyone know how to use it properly among the staff :p
I've been looking at this Brother's wireless printer, and it looks massive, but simple enough :D

Has anyone had experience with it? Does it have any weaknesses and what would those be?
Thanks

HP LaserJet printers are the standard for schools, and have been for decades.

As a teacher, I have a HP LaserJet 8500 that I use.

If You can pay cash, You can get great deals on used HP LaserJets on CraigsList. Make sure it has toners and works. Plan on (gently) moving a big, heavy printer.

A 4xxx series does 8.5x11 very well. That means a 4000, 4050, 4100, 4200, 4300, etc.

The 4600 and 4700 are color versions of the 4xxx series.

The 8xxx and 9xxx series do 11x17 paper sizes as well. They are much larger printers.

For example, I've used 8000, 8100, and 8150 monochrome HP LaserJets.

The 8500 and 8550 are color versions of the 8xxx series.

Which ever one You pick, know that the toners last many thousands of pages, but are expensive to replace. A genuine HP toner can cost $250. I cheap generic refill off eBay can cost less than $20. I always keep at least one spare of each toner on hand.
