computer waking up out of sleep mode

After i put my pc into sleep mode all the fans stop running and the led's turn off. Then alittle after that it seems like my computer wakes itself up. Last night my speakers were on when it did this and it made a dinging noise multiple times as the computer came to the login screen. What can I do so this stops?

Most times it seems that the network card wakes up a pc. Go into the device manager. Right-click your network adapter and select "properties". Look for a setting that reads something like "allow this device to bring the computer out of standby" and disable it.
