Hi all,

I have encountered an issue during boot with my mobo. (I think the mobo is causing it)
I have recently done a fresh install of windows and changed my psu at the same time but I don't think it has anything to do with my psu.

When I power up the pc it gets past the bios stage and to the windows logo and then the displays blanks, my peripherals turn off (LEDs on mouse + keyboard) and quite loud click happens and then the lights come back on and I get to the login screen and the OS runs as normal.

The click happens when I turn on/off the pc so I imagine thats just the corsair psu power switch or something. But on boot it clicks twice like its trying to double boot maybe?

Any advice?

Many thanks.

It's a new PSU but I still think it's causing your problem. Even new components can leave the factory faulty, they don't fully test every one of them, it would take too long & cost them too much money.

You definitely shouldn't hear it clicking - - mine doesn't click and it's only a cheap PSU, not a big name brand.

You think the new psu is what is causing the "double boot" situation? The way it seems to stutter halfway through and then resume with my peripherals cutting out also?

Is that because you think the click is coming from a hdd gone bad? I will check but I'm ruling that out tbh. The click happens with other corsair ax760i from what i've seen online. It's just the fact it clicks twice and my leds cut out that makes me think something triggers a double boot up?

EDIT: I'm not home yet but will try when i'm back home.
