changing out a reference cooler

I have a chance at at pretty good card here local (diamond HD 7970), it has the reference style cooling system on it.

I was wondering for future reference if its common, hard, and do they sell aftermarket coolers for graphics cards?

In short yes you can buy after market coolers for the 7970 card.

They can range from £30 £40 or right up to about £80.

Most of the coolers will fit a set amount of cards.
Just double check in the listing if the new cooler will fit the model of card before buying.
