OK so for about 2 months now, my main desktop I use for gaming, browsing, etc. keeps losing internet connection for about 2 min every 30 min to an hour it seems... Funny thing is I believe it is the only computer to do so during this time. Every time it happens I run to another computer to check and they are good to go. I also work at home so I would notice if my work computer dropped all the time for 2 minutes so I think I can narrow it down to my gaming rig. And windows is saying you have no network connection plugged in so I know its not my computer just acting slow.
I run cable Suddenlink 30mb down 2 mb up, Arris modem into a Asus RT-N65R. I tried adding a TPLink USB network card but no luck. While using the card I tried changing router channel but didn't help. I ordered a network card for PCI slot to narrow that out but would that matter if wireless is doing it too? I have updated firmware on router and all.
I'm kind of at loss as its very annoying. Ive had ISP come out multiple times and no help there. ran multiple speed tests and those are good. Pinged 127.0.0.1 which is good. I think that's right anyways.
