The only person that will consistently build a solid computer is yourself. The best aspect of building your own PC is that it is extremely fulfilling and easy to do!

On another note, don't worry about brand. Dell/HP/Cybertron, all of these guys have made great PCs however they've made some bad ones too-- Just check individual product reviews: if it looks good, buy it :)

I suggest this http://www.digitalstormonline.com/vanquish.asp Level 3.

Do note it is an i5, but is still a true Quad-core processor-- which is more than enough.

Otherwise just pick up an HD 5450 and call it a day.

so this here would do the trick. the Xeon E3 1230 is basically a cheaper i7 with no integrated graphics. It is an incredible value. This whole system would come in at around 1000.00 but has some nice extras for you for just a little bit more. I included an SSD which should speed up encoding times a bit and also speed up load times significantly. If the load times and all are not a concern you can feel free to drop this and save some money.

Since video editing takes a lot of storage space, I set you up with a 2TB hard drive, if you choose to drop the SSD you could get a 3 or 4 TB hard drive instead, 2 should be a good starting point though.

And finally I chose the 750Ti for the graphics card. This card has incredible bang for the buck and uses very little power, another alternative (when they get released) is the R7 265 which will out perform the 750ti for around the same cost, but uses more power.

If you're worried about not being able to build a pc, check out how to videos on youtube. it is very very easy.

Window 8.1
Lg dvd rewriter
750watt supplie
Wd blackseries 1 tb 7200 rpm
Quad four i7 prosesser
Rosewill atx case
All from new egg for 1133.92

there is no need to spend that much on a motherboard when an h87 will do. you don't need to spend an extra 100.00 on an i7 when a xeon e3 1230 v3 is the same cpu. unless you plan on overclocking there is absolutely no reason to get an i7 at all. also 4 gb of ram is very low for video editing and gaming. you'll want at least 8 preferably 16 gb.

the build I posted is a VERY good starting point for a video editing and gaming build. the SSD is a great option but you can drop it and drop down to a 1 TB hard drive if you want and get a more power graphics card and power supply.

your build is way more expensive than it has to be. The build I posted comes in at 100.00 less, has twice the storage space, 4 times the ram and a processor that is an i7. yes your program recommends an i7, and the xeon e3 1230 v3 is an i7.

you could change the gtx 750 ti for a gtx 660 in my build and still come up cheaper than your build. hell you could get a gtx 760 in my build for the same price as yours.
