My PC has been running for about 2 days straight right now, but been idle for 1/2 of each day... Kind of no lyfing atm :D Anyways, in bios i am getting cpu temps from 37-42, but when i check CPU-ID HWmonitor it says i am at around 48-55 when idle...... When i play World of warcraft which is a cpu intensive game is said i was running at 55-58. Is this practical? Or is CPU-ID not giving good temps? I've seen some bad reviews about it but not sure. My cpu is a AMD athlon x4 750k. Not overclocked with stock heatsink

Don, when it's not Tom's then Overclock.net is always a great resource for me :).

Those are perfectly safe temperatures. A little high maybe, but I wouldn't worry about them. Just make sure they don't go up towards/past 70 C. Then you might just want to reapply the thermal paste/get a better cooler.

For now though, you're fine!

Haha It took me forever to find that TMAX. :p

Chris, I would also like to point out that trinty has a better thermal ceiling than vishera (the fx series). for those cpus, 62C is about the max recommended temp though people easily operate them without any hitch way over those temps. Point being, that different AMD cpu lines do not have the same thermal ceiling and for your 750K, your load temps are actually good.

I shut down the pc for an hour and a half and my it idled at 37. Surfing web is down to 40ish! :D I have the rosewell galaxy-03 case. I have 4 fans installed but i turned the side panel fan to draw air out instead of in. Literally lowered temps by 3c. I'm not sure if i can fit a 212 evo in my case because i do not know the width. If any of you wouldn't mind helping me find the width that would be greatly appreciated! This is my first build so of course right when i got it i had a gaming spree on it. Thanks for the fast replies! :D I wish i could vote best answer to all of you

yes, CM 212 Evo can fit in your case. and yes it's normal for the temp to jump up and down quickly. if you want to change the cooler, you must read the installation manual carefully. different cooler need different methode. some cooler need to remove the motherboard from the case (such as CM 212 EVO). but the Cooler Master TX3 doesn't need to. sorry for my bad english :D

If you think the heat is problem, the aftermarket cooler is the solution :D
