Expected Overclocked Temperatures?

So I'm getting a 3770K and a CM Hyper Evo 212, using AS5 thermal Paste.

Motherboard is an Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
A Gigabyte GTX 770 and G.Skill Ripjaw X 1866 16GB RAM.

I live in the carribean so ambient temps are aroung 30C, using a Corsair 600T with stock fans and an additional 4x Cougar 120mm fans 60CFM as side fans(intake).

I want to OC the CPU to 4.2Ghz, what temps should I expect under load? *Quick Note, my room is air conditioned at around 23C so take that into consideraton

I'm concered because I hear that Ivy Bridge can run quite hot compared to Sandy bridge, also my motherboard has a temp limit of 65C after that the CPU fan begins to power to 100%, current cpu is a 2600, will this temp limit change when I upgrade to the 3770k?

Also shhould I consider the 2600k instead? however I heard I would have to OC it to around @4.5Ghz to reach the same performance as the 3770K @4.2Ghz this means higher temps ie higher voltage, just curious

It's difficult to predict that accurately (Everything's different. It depends on your motherboard, thermal paste, processor use, alignment of the stars...), but I can't imagine you would have any heat issues. The Hyper 212 EVO isn't the best (by that I mean it's a great budget cooler), but it is quiet. I wouldn't worry about it spinning to 100%, probably not even as loud as the stock fan :p
Regardless, I've heard of a lot of people getting around 45 C at medium load, at 4.2GHz with your cooler.

You've got nice airflow, fine ambient temperatures, and you aren't doing anything extreme with the overclocking.

As for Ivy Bridge vs. Sandy Bridge - Yes, Ivy Bridges run hotter, they have a smaller architecture and therefore handle the extra...

As for Ivy Bridge vs. Sandy Bridge - Yes, Ivy Bridges run hotter, they have a smaller architecture and therefore handle the extra voltage worse than the Sandy Bridge. However, they will still outperform the Sandy Bridge by a wide margin, and are still made for overclocking (meaning they aren't inherently more prone to failure). Just because you can't clock them as high, doesn't mean they won't perform as well! (I had this same dilemma deciding between Haswell and Ivy Bridge. It's just the way the cookie crumbles. Smaller architecture = Higher overclocking temps, but also greater performance)

Stick with the i7-3770k and CM Hyper 212 EVO.

OR

Stick with your current processor and SLI your GTX 770! [Jokes] (Not recommended unless you have a huge monitor and a beefy PSU)

I hope that helps!
