I'm going to build a gaming PC in the near future and I want to run games like BF4 on ultra and load Minecraft with HD texture packs at high frame rates. My budget is $1500-$1600. Im thinking of getting an Nvidia GTX 780 maybe even the ti edition. I'm going to get an i7, I don't know specifically which one yet. I want a small SSD and a good amount of RAM (24+). What parts would any of you recommend?

24gb of ram is overkill. 8-16gb is plenty. This would put you on the lower end of your budget.
