Hi im planning on building a gaming pc. im thinking of getting something from the fx series or the a10. i just need something that can run bf4 on ultra at least 45 fps.

well, the top-of-the-line A10's will run at med-high settings between 30-50 fps. i would go for the fx 8350 and either gtx 780 or hd 7990 or better. hope this helps!

A10 is not going to do what you want. FX 8320 minimum for BF4 with a GTX 770 4gb or better from Nvidia, and an R9 280x or better from AMD.

You definitely want an FX, at this point APUs are not good for the CPU or GPU, which makes them ideal for office computers, but not much more. The very minimum you want for ultra is an 8320 and 280x/7970 or 770, like logain said.

The A10-7850k will run at medium at 30 fps, definitely not med-high at 30-50. The 7850k is barely able to squeeze out about 40 average in Skyrim at Medium, which is a much less resource hungry game.

I have the 4670k and 760, and get about 50 average in Ultra at 1080p. This would do you fine. I would like to recommend a 270x, but their prices are still wonky here lol

A 270x won't get you ultra at 45 fps, go for a 770, 280x, or 7970.

A10 7850K can run BF4 on ulta in 720P if you turn off SSAO and AA.

If you get a REAL graphics card with it...nothing will stand in your way of doing that in 1080P and with SSAO + AA enabled.

But then again....the 7850K is too expensive for that to be worth it. Since you will need a dedicated graphics card either way...just go with FX + Graphics card instead of A10 + Graphics card.

If it absolutely has to be AMD just take the FX-6200/6300 if your budget is tight or the FX8320/FX8350 if your budget isn't so tight.

Anything from a R9 270X should run it on ultra just fine thanks to mantle

The 7850k will not run BF4 multiplayer well at all. A 260x won't work either. You need a 6300 with Mantle, really an 8320, and a 280x.
