So I just got my new 760 GTX and it says it I require to update my bios for best compatibility... me being me I figured that I should go ahead and update it anyways because I haven't done it in awhile... problem is that every time I go to use the Q-Flash, it tells me the file I'm selecting is an invalid file image. I'm using the USB option for udpating the bios because honestly I'm not quite sure on how else I would update it.

Download the BIOS file then unpack it. It is probably a 7zip file. After unpacking, you should have three files. Copy and paste the three files to the USB drive with nothing else on the drive. Then boot into BIOS with the USB drive installed and go into Qflash and select the correct file of the three. If you select the wrong file it will tell you. Just try another till you select the right file of the three. Follow the instructions and update the BIOS. The USB drive needs to be in FAT32 format which it probably came brand new from the manufacturer.

I am assuming you have a Gigabyte board. You didn't specify which board.

It is a gigabyte sorry, and I've already done all that: One is too big, the other is incorrect, and the last one is an invalid file image.

Most Gigabyte boards have multiple revisions. It's a good thing there is a validation check, or you could brick your motherboard by flashing a BIOS intended for a different revision. On the website you are downloading from, make sure you look near the top of the page for the revision number, and click the version which corresponds to your motherboard. :)

Well considering I go directly to their site and download it from my exact same mobo page I wouldn't think that's the issue.

Update: Well it doesn't matter now cause now I keep getting this 7zip data error everytime I try to install any graphics drivers... which doesn't even make sense cause I don't have 7zip.

Everything seems to be working now... though I feel as if this 760 is under performing but that's a topic for another time.
