I recently bought a gtx 760 but i was wondering if i damaged it because when i opened the antistatic bag i ended up touching the back of the video card where the circuit board is. I know it's a bit silly but i only knew about static electricity issues when my brother told me after opening it. i didn't touch the gold pins by the way. Another question that i was going to ask is that even if the card was damaged (without me assuming it) and i installed it in my motherboard will the rest of the components get damaged if the damaged video card was connected.

The chances are very very low. TBH, I have taken out cards and put them in hundreds of PCs and I have never damaged a video card once. Not saying it couldn't happen, but I think you would need a very static-y environment before you have to worry about thatl If the card is damaged and you put it in the PC, it will just not work, it shouldnt harm anything. If the power ports on the card were melted or somehtinng, you might damage the PSU, but otherwise you are OK.
