I'm currently using Windows 8.1 pro, and i've got 2 4gb 1600MHz RAM but in windows it says it is 800Mhz. So is something messing up my RAM or is Windows just not displaying the right amount?
DDR stands for double data rate. 800mhz * 2 = 1600mhz, you're doing fine.
What i think is weird though is that my friend have the exact same problem and the exact same amount of ram and speed. But in his windows it says that hes got 1066 MHz :/

Then his motherboard is overclocking the RAM to 2133 speeds for whatever reason. He needs to adjust his BIOS. 2133 is another common speed.
