Have only the SSD installed when you install Windows.
Once everything is actually running well and updated, verify the boot order with SSD first.
Reconnect the HDD and wipe as desired.
And if you want to redirect where things go and are saved, see these two tutorials:
Win 7 & 8:
http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1834397/ssd-redirecting-static-files.html
Win 8.1: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2024314/windows-redirecting-folders-drives.html
How do I verify the boot order and how should the order look? Also when I connect my old HDD do I need to format it or anything first or can I use CCleaner to wipe it then format it?
Boot order is in the BIOS. At startup, whatever key gets you into the BIOS DEL or similar.
And you can wipe the HDD directly within Disk Management. Select each partition on it. Delete. Reformat.
Now you have a clean HDD you can use for whatever.
How do I wipe it within Disk Management (Sorry, Im a noob
) do i just right click the things next to where it says disk 1 (when i install the ssd i assume it will be disk 0 and the hdd will be disk 1?) click delete volume? Also what should my boot order be CD rom, ssd, and then when I install the HDD make it so its after the ssd or is it automatically like that? or do I not even need to put the hdd in the boot order? Sorry for so many questions, just wanna make sure T_T
